The never satisfied listener

Musically speaking, there couldn’t be nothing worse than being unsatisfied of the music proposals of the common casting channels, expecially when you don’t define your favorites genres and you are a silent ear for every cruising sound. It’s a continuous reaserch that gets harder and harder, it’s like being a long time drug addicted. In one definition: the dark side of the knowledge.

At the beginning the way is easy, because you can rise backward the music path of the classics, of the past, where you can discover so much quality stocks of songs that you almost refuse the present. You can’t look at this behaviour like a stereotype but it’s an unavoidable intermediate point of an expert listener. And one day when the unlistened music doesn’t represent such a previous oodles you become an underground, like the kind of music you are looking for.

The newness and the elite charateristic fills the lack. The underground music is free, it doesn’t follow the rules, at least untill it doesn’t need money, and gives you the first appealing taste of the research. Every subsequent stage is a new mood, a new way of thinking and maybe a new life.

Experience creates the mature selective listener, as a positive acceptation compared to a “young” selective listener. What you are looking for is basicly not to get entertained but to get wondered. This is the time when you understand that you don’t have to search the songs but an artist, not cause his production but as a person in which you could trust. The definition seems weird but it’s like an experimental listener.

In this stage the you dare, with the maximum risk to get extremely bored but sometimes you find the unexpectable, like a classic piano composer live playing with a electronic dj, and it’s a restless emotion that makes you feel luckyly loosed by the mainstream.
